Blancore F/W 2020 "Lost Elf" review

New year new season. The Blancore F/W 2020 collection held on Friday Feb 7 at the Spring Studios was the right amount of masculine silhouettes with mix and matching textiles and color blocking all inside of one garment. The new collection called “Lost Elf” was a memoir to our childhood toys and to where they end up.

At the beginning of the show was a storyline told in the music explaining the designer belief about how toys end up with little elf that take care of those together with our childhood memories.

This collection was incredible, I was amazed with the bold and strong asymetric shapes but they all translated in a feminine and chic complexion because of the selection of the color palette. Colors that were outstanding to this collection was the use of ivory, blush, light blue, beige, and military hunter green. The dominant print was muted plaid used on wool fabric. You can appreciate the quilting craftsmanship in the jackets and bottoms. Other fabric used in the collections where wool, organza, silk, and nylon.

The story line was very obvious with the use of teddy beards as part of the looks. The feeling was there and the story was clear. It was the right amount of nostalgia and sentiment to this new collection.
